What's the meaning
of "Artists Choice":
This title
is descriptive of what the program entails. The Artists in this row of productions
decide solely over the content of their CD's, and so the Listener gets a piece
which is not influenced by commercial interests, but reflects the pure taste
of musical professionals. Under the artistic leadership of Matthias
Müller, this series "Artists Choice" is realised and developed through
the pure thought of art and culminates in a very interesting overall concept
for the knowledgeable lover of music, which is finally precipitated in this
CD collection. Each CD depicts the personality of each of the artists and
their subjective life experiences plays a major roll. Artists Choice, is grown
from the conviction, that Art and how it is conveyed, represents a very personal
concern. Music is at its most convincing when the listener knows who and with
which thoughts and feels, stands behind the works of art. The individual CDs
stand as personal testimonies of the Artists. The program is international.
The artists who choose to participated in this series have to fulfil a high
artistic standard.
Matthias Müller and Occam records have set, consciously herewith,
in a time of constant commercialisation even in the classical field , a counterpoint,
in order to give the artists themselves and through them art a chance for
further development. The number of editions will remain few and sales will
be solely through the Internet and selected specialised dealers.
